KASKASKIA EAGLE FEST
The Kaskaskia Eagle Fest event will be held on Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Jerry F. Costello Lock & Dam (4800 Lock and Dam Rd.) in Modoc
Join us for eagle-watching with spotting scopes and meet some of our feathered friends from the World Bird Sanctuary at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Also be sure to catch the Physic of Flight presentation given by the Natural History Education Co., of the MidSouth at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Tours of Lock and Dam will be available and short interpretive walks will be given both upstream and downstream from the Lock and Dam.
Viewing of a nearby eagle nest with a mated pair of eagles will be available throughout the day from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Lunch from a local eatery will be available for a suggested donation of $5 per person to cover lunch expenses.
This event is free to all - families and leash-trained dogs welcome for the hike.

GLO BINGO
The Steeleville American Legion Post 480 (303 S. Chester St.) is hosting a Glo Bingo fundraiser to benefit the Steeleville Pony League on Friday, March 4.
Doors open at 6 p.m., Bingo Starts at 7:30 p.m. Price is $25 at the door and includes six bingo cards, glow hat and glow dauber ($5 per additional 6 bingo cards).

CHICKEN DINNER<span class="s3">
</span>St. Mark's Lutheran Church will be having a chicken dinner on Sunday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mark's School in Steeleville.
Menu includes fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade rolls, dessert and drink.
Price is $10 for adutls and $5 for children 5 to 12. Children under 5 eat free. A 50/50 drawing will also be available.
