Monday accident results in DUI

<span>CHESTER -- An early-morning crash on State Street in Chester on Monday resulted in DUI charges for a Chester resident.</span>

<span>According to a news release from the Chester Police Department, officers were called to the scene of a traffic crash in the 600 block of State Street at 12:24 a.m. </span>

<span>Upon arrival, police discovered a 1999 Chevrolet pick-up truck on its side. The driver, 32-year-old William E. Miller of Chester, was westbound when he lost control of his vehicle.</span>

<span>Miller crossed the center line and entered the eastbound parking lane, where his truck struck a parked 1996 Toyota Corolla. A nearby utility pole was also damaged in the crash. </span>

<span>Miller was arrested at the scene and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.</span>
