Additional details released in Christmas Eve infant death

Randolph County Coroner Randy Dudenbostel told the Herald Tribune Monday morning that the infant's name in the Christmas Eve incident in Sparta is Zschai T. Tillman.

<span>The mother is Sharis Tillman of 105 Washington St. in Sparta.</span>

<span>Dudenbostel said the mother arrived home on Christmas Eve and found the 2-month-old child unresponsive and called 911. The child was transported to Sparta Community Hospital and pronounced dead at 4:48 p.m.</span>

<span>A family member was babysitting the child at the time of the incident.</span>

<span>"We're not releasing much information because it is still under investigation," Dudenbostel said.</span>

<span>The case is under investigation by the Sparta Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police, Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and the Randolph County Coroner's Office.</span>

<span>An autopsy was performed on Saturday. Dudenbostel said results will take six to eight weeks pending the toxicology report.</span>
