Missing Du Quoin boy safe at friend's house

The Du Quoin Police Department assisted parents in locating their 11-year-old son, who went missing Wednesday night and turned up at a friend's house at 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

Officer Rustin Juhl of the Du Quoin Police Department said the boy had bee last seen in Keyes City Park Wednesday night.

Police conducted a search of the area, then began pulling information as to the boy's recent whereabouts and who his friends were.

The boy was found at the friend's house at 7 a.m. the next morning.

Police extend their deep appreciation to all who assisted.
