40-year-old Christopher man's death investigated
The death of a 40-year-old Christopher man with high levels of alcohol in his system continues to be listed as suspicious
Late Sunday Coroner Marty Leffler had not released the man's name, but it is expected Monday.
Franklin County 911 received a report at 12:51 a.m. Saturday that an unresponsive individual was in need of medics at 411 Sylvia St., Apt. B, in Christopher, according to a news release from Franklin County State's Attorney Evan L. Owens.
The man was pronounced dead at 1:41 a.m. in the Franklin Hospital emergency room.
Christopher police and emergency medical personnel responded. Efforts to resuscitate the individual were unsuccessful.
Leffler requested an autopsy to be performed at Franklin Hospital morgue by a forensic pathologist before he would make a statement on the cause of death.
