Rednour memorials to food pantry, Weekend Warriors $8,135 so far

Mrs. Wanda Rednour, wife of the late Du Quoin Mayor and Du Quoin State Bank CEO John Rednour on Thursday presented $8,135 to the Du Quoin Food Pantry, the total of memorials given during her husband's funeral last month. Of that total, $1,475 will go to the Weekend Warriors student food program. Mrs. Rednour made her own personal contribution of $500 to that program, as well.

The Rednours had asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the food pantry, which feeds over 200 families.

"John was always for Du Quoin," Mrs. Rednour told appreciative food pantry volunteers.
