Drop off your unwanted medications Saturday at Du Quoin Police Department
The Du Quoin Police Department will be participating in the DEA's National Take Back Day on Saturday Oct. 26 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. This is a program that allows citizens to turn in old unused medications to the Police Department for proper disposal through the DEA, the federal drug enforcement agency.
Prescription, veterinary and over the counter medications will be accepted. Syringes with needles attached or inhalers will not be accepted. Please make sure that any liquid medications are properly sealed in their containers, so there is no leakage. The unused medications can be dropped off at the Du Quoin Police Department on Saturday, Oct. 26 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., no questions asked.
