Dist. 300 to fill language arts vacancy

The Du Quoin board of education meets in regular session Thursday at 6:30 p.m. with one resignation from a position that will have to be filled.

The board will consider the resignation of Kelly Zurliene as middle school language arts teacher effective at the end of the contract year. The board will also fill some extracurricular positions.

Other agenda items include student and staff recognition, an update on the high school construction project, an update on the summer enrichment class program, state funding and community use of the high school track facility.

The meetings are open to the public.
