Truck takes down ball field fencing, hits building

The Du Quoin Police Department is seeking the public's help on who might have stolen a truck from resident Louie Baker on Linden Street in Du Quoin, then driven it to Lion's Field on the city's west side where it tore through fencing, a gate post then into the side of a storage building near the baseball field at the rear of the complex.

Police impounded the truck at Watt's Towing as the investigation continues.

A neighbor in the area heard the crash at approximately 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night.

Field maintainer Jeff Robinson worked to make temporary repairs to a wall and door on the building.
