Wheeler back as DHS head basketball coach DHS

The head coach with the second highest number of wins in Du Quoin High School basketball history is coming back for a second tour of duty with the Indians. Wendell Wheeler was named head coach of the varsity team on Tuesday night, replacing Gabe Sveda who will depart for Christopher next school year. Wheeler has a career mark of 336-215 in 20 years as a varsity head coach and was 191-164 in 12 seasons with Du Quoin from 1993-2005
