Tuesday's Girls Track: Dejear wins two events for Lady thinclads

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Du Quoin High School girls track and field team placed second in a quadrangular meet at Herrin Tuesday afternoon.

Scoring 44 points, the Lady Indians edged past Johnston City (39) and West Frankfort (38). Herrin was an easy winner with 107 points.

"It was another perfect day to run," assistant DHS coach Shawn File said. "The girls are learning to compete and a good season is underway."

Sophomore Kiyana Dejear won two events for Du Quoin, taking the Long Jump (14'3 1/2) and 100 meter dash (13.34) on a windy and warm afternoon.
