4:39 a.m. storage building fire on East Park Street

A 4:39 a.m. fire this morning destroyed a storage building at the Rebecca Ridgeway home at 655 East Park Street in Du Quoin (corner of East Park & Illinois Avenue). The building contained a lot of tools and tires that were part of a tire changing operation that occupant Gale Laffoon had. Firemen say that have no idea how the blaze started. Firefighters were back in the Du Quoin station at 6:15 a.m.
