Home in Pinckneyville burns

A home burned shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Jan. 30 in Pinckneyville. The Pinckneyville Fire Department was on scene just around the corner from the fire station at 207 S. Main Street.

Fire Chief Jim Gielow said the State Fire Marshal's Office inspected the home on Thursday, but had not determined the cause of the fire.

The home was owned by resident Chetlene Calder and her brother.

Tamaroa and Du Quoin Fire Departments provided mutual aid.
