Four-Year Contract for District 300 Superintendent Dr. Kelly

The Du Quoin Board of Education Thursday approved--on 4-3 vote--to extend the contract of Superintendent Dr. Gary Kelly for four years to the 2016-2017 school year.

In regard to the contract, board members Day, McPherson, Valier, and Vancil approved the motions with Brock, Rice, and Ward voting not to approve the negotiated terms. The contract includes no increase in the base salary for two years, caps sick leave provisions and allows for participation in the retirement incentive offered to all district certified staff during the contract.

The board employed Danielle Woll as K-8 School Head Cook for the remainder of the 2012-2013 school year.
