Pinckneyville Hospital Loan Application Advances
Pinckneyville Community Hospital's application for a loan from USDA has been passed from the Illinois USDA office in Champaign to the national office in Washington, D.C.
Hospital Administrator Tom Hudgins and other representatives met with Mike Montgomery of USDA Rural Development in September. Following that discussion, additional information was submitted to help the state USDA office decide whether or not to pass the application up one level.
The hospital hopes to borrow just under $23 million from USDA to build a new facility on White Walnut Road. The Washington, D.C. office must make the final decision on whether or not to loan more than $10 million to any entity.
Hudgins said he did not know how long the national USDA office would take to make a decision.
