CHESTER WOMEN'S CLUB TO BEGIN SEASON SEPT. 28

The Chester Women's Club will begin its 76th season with the club's Officers' Tea on Friday, September 28. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. and will be held in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church in Chester. The program for that day is to be announced at a later time.

Hostesses will be the club's officers and appointed chairpersons, including President Barb Welge; First Vice President Sharon McMath; Second Vice President Wilma Whittenberg; Recording Secretary Carolyn Schwent; Treasurer Tammy Grah; Corresponding Secretary Cathy Sauer; Parliamentarian Cynthia Lawder; Historian Caroline Wylie; and Publicity Chairman Gwendy Garner.

According to club president Barb Welge, women from Chester and the surrounding area are welcome to join. She also stated that the club's programs for the coming year look to be very interesting and entertaining.

The club holds one fund raising project each year and that is the collection of a love offering from members. Funds collected go to support Chester High School scholarships and a number of civic causes.
