Knife-Toting Biker Arrested in Desoto Bar Friday Night

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Chance W. Townsend, 41, a.k.a. "Slick" was arrested on three counts of unlawful use of a weapon and on a outstanding Jackson County warrant for failure to appear on a speeding charge.

On Friday, Aug. 10 at about 10:27 p.m., Jackson County Deputies were called to Club Coyote, 14627 N. U.S. 51 in rural Desoto. A caller reported that a man was in the bar, carrying several knives on or in his belt and possibly armed with a handgun.

Employees spoke with the subject about the knives and he became aggressive and threatened violence against them. It was also reported that the man was wearing a motorcycle vest and "colors" indicating that he was affiliated with the Outlaws motorcycle club.

Deputies arrived and located the subject inside the bar Townsend was found to be in possession of three large, fixed blade sheath knives on or in his belt. He also had a small hatchet and metal knuckles concealed in his pockets. No handgun was found. It was learned that a handgun was inferred, never displayed.

Townsend is currently incarcerated in Jackson County Jail.
