St. John Lutheran plans 'Mighty Fortress' VBS

St. John Lutheran Church in Chester will hold Vacation Bible School in the school from 6-8:30 p.m. July 11-13.

Children age 3 through grade 6 are invited to attend the Vacation Bible School. The children will enjoy music, crafts, games, cooking activities and Bible stories related to the theme "Mighty Fortress."

Attendance prizes will be awarded each evening. There is no charge for Vacation Bible School and it is open to all children, not just members of St. John.

VBS participants will be invited to St. John's 5:00 p.m. service on Saturday, July 14 to share songs and activities learned at VBS. The "Mighty Fortress" will close with a light lunch social and more attendance prizes in the Parish Hall following the Saturday evening service.

All preschoolers through 6th graders are invited to attend this free event and to be part of the "Mighty Fortress."

Children are welcome to participate in any session and not required to attend each evening. Pre-registration is requested, but not required. Please call the church office 826-3545 to register or for more information.
