First Baptist Church welcomes 9/11 Pentagon survivor Colonel Noel Douglas

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[On Thursday, July 19th at 7pm come celebrate our freedom at Real American Heroes Night at Chester FBC. Hear Colonel Douglas give his eyewitness testimony of the tragic events of 9/11 when flight 77 hit the Pentagon. The VFW and American Legion will be posting the Colors at this special event. Afterwards refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall.

Colonel Noel Douglas, USMC, Retired, served 28 1/2 years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps. He served in infantry and aviation units in a variety of assignments. In addition to other deployments in the Far East, he served two combat tours in Viet Nam. Colonel Douglas flew in the F-4 Phantom aircraft and is a graduate of the Navy Top Gun school. He commanded a Training Squadron and a Marine Air Base Squadron. Colonel Douglas completed the Navy Command and Staff College at Newport, RI and the Air Force Air War College at Montgomery, AL. While on active duty, Colonel Douglas was assigned to Headquarters Marine Corps and worked in the Pentagon. After retirement, Colonel Douglas worked in the Pentagon for the Navy Department and was there on September 11, 2001.
