Canadian National to Rebuild Downtown Du Quoin Crossing
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Canadian National Railroad advised the newspaper on Monday that it will close the Main Street crossing in downtown Du Quoin between Monday, July 9 and Friday, July 13 to completely reconstruct the crossing.
Track maintenance supervisor Billy Schultz of the CN's section office in Carbondale said no other crossings in the city will be affected by this major project.
Residents of the area are welcome to use the St. Johns crossing, Park Street crossing, Poplar Street overpass, Gas Plant Road crossing or any other alternate access route.
