‘Business Ideas for Teens' Coming to Du Quoin Library Monday, July 9
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Illinois Small Business Development Center will be providing a workshop, "Business Ideas for Teens" at the DuQuoin Library on Monday, July 9, from 2-4 p.m.
Ashley Henderson, SIUC MBA student and graduate assistant in SIUC Entrepreneurship, along with Caitlin Williams, SIUC undergrad in English Education, and Erica Lincoln, SIUC undergrad in Elementary Education, who both work as student workers in the Entrepreneurship Division, have created and will deliver the program.
This presentation includes advice on legalities of starting a business, free and low-cost marketing tips, and a variety of viable business ideas that would be ideal for teens to start on their own with little capital resources needed. The presentation will also include some business-related exercises and resources.
The event is part of a summer series of events being hosted by the DuQuoin Library, provided for by a Penny Severns Literacy Grant through the Illinois State Library and the Illinois Secretary of State's office.
