Dr. Andy Yochum to Leave REA Clinic in Du Quoin to Join SIU Family Medicine

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dr. Andy Yochum will leave the REA Clinic in Du Quoin in July to take a position with the SIU Family Medicine program.

Dr. Yochum began his practicing career with Christopher Rural Health Planning Corporation on Aug. 1, 2007 and for the past five years has been a member of the REA Clinic-Du Quoin team that includes Dr. Patrick Riley, Heather Rice, PA-C, Michael Poiter, PA-C and Jill Wilson, NP.

Dr. Yochum has made the decision to become a member of the SIU Family Medicine Residency Program, a program from which he graduated and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Yochum will continue to provide primary care to patients in Southern Illinois in addition to lending his expertise in a teaching and mentoring capacity to family practice residents. The SIU Family Medicine Center-Carbondale operates their clinic on the second floor of the Professional Building of Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in addition to the Adolescent Center at SIU and Family Medicine Clinic in West Frankfort.

Dr. Yochum's last day at REA Clinic-Du Quoin will be July 20. "Christopher Rural Health Planning Corporation remains committed to the needs of all our patients through the providers at the Du Quoin office as well as surrounding clinics, namely our newly erected clinics in Christopher and Sesser, Ill.," according to spokeswoman Linda Quillman.

In addition, CRHPC is pleased to announce that family practioner, Dr. Ben Rathert, originally from Ava, IL, will join the staff at REA Clinic-Du Quoin upon his graduation from the residency program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria in the Spring of 2013.
