Tamaroa Board to Hold Special Meeting Tuesday, June 19

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Village Trustees of Tamaroa will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 19 to discuss personnel.

Trustee Bill Place made a motion to appoint Darrell Wright the lead employee for the village at the regular meeting on Wednesday, June 13. There was no second on the motion.

Trustee Kirk Pestka objected to placing one employee in a supervisory position. Place said a lead employee would be a single point of contact for board members instead of employees receiving potentially conflicting instructions. Pestka said a similar plan was unsuccessful and caused problems.

Trustee Betty Roberts said the village looks better than it has in years. Whatever the employees are doing now, it's working. She was reluctant to change that.

Employee Brent Fisher said he did not want Wright to be his boss.

The board agreed to discuss the issue at a special meeting Tuesday.

Fisher also asked what the board planned to do about a pension plan for him and employee Chuck Zoeckler. Place said he would gather information on an annuity plan and Roberts would look into 401k plans and report back at the next regular meeting.
