PCHS T-Shirts Raise Funds for Foundation
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[When the Class of 2012 chose to use an image of the PCHS building on the front of its Senior Class t-shirt, a collaborative project was born. Working with Phillip and Jean Provart of MainStreet T's who helped produce the design for the Senior class, Senior sponsor Dan Herbst asked if they would consider making a contribution to the PCHS Education Foundation for the sale of t-shirts with the school design that would be available to the general public. They agreed and came up with the offer on shirts that will be available at the Pinckneyville MainStreet T's location.
The Columbia blue shirts with a navy blue imprint feature the "Finishing with Class" design of the PCHS building. The shirts are $15, with $10 of each sale going to the PCHS Educational Foundation. Adult sizes Small to 2XL will be available.
The idea of "Finishing with Class" came from the Senior Class officers who liked the double meaning of applying to the Class of 2012 and to the PCHS building, which also came through in the "Serving with Distinction" idea-since PCHS administration incorporated the idea of service hours as a graduation requirement this year.
The attention to the building as it came down this week highlighted the idea that it "served with distinction" for all of the Classes from 1931 through 2012. T'shirts available at MainStreet T's in Pinckneyville will allow graduates to show their Panther Pride and help students of the future PCHS through the Educational Foundation.
