Kuhnerts Organize Limb Loss Night at Rent One Park

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Du Quoin athlete Sam Kuhnert and his parents have championed the cause of limb loss athletes all across Southern Illinois for many years.

Todd, Jana and son Sam have even established a Web site www.nubability.org and have a presence on Facebook.

In recent days the Kuhnerts have been working with the Southern Illinois Miners baseball team and Rent One Park in Marion to help sponsor a "NubAbility Athletics Foundation Night" at Rent One Park on Monday, June 11 when the Miners host the Beach Bums. Gates open at 6 p.m. with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.

The first $2 of every $6 ticket sold will be donated to the NubAbility Athletics Founda-tion. The mission statement of the foundation is: "Getting them out of the stands, off the bench and into the game--encouraging and instructing limb-different kids to compete!"

Sam Kuhnert is president and founder of NubAbility Athletics Foundation. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation created to encourage and inspire limb different kids who wish to compete in organized sports."
