Perry County Sheriff's Blotter

The following information was obtained from the Perry County Sheriff's Office. Note that arrests and charges are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

Monday, April 23

Kerri M. Engelage, 34, Du Quoin, was arrested on a Perry County warrant, charged with violation of probation relating to unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Engelage was transported to the Perry County Jail and bond was set at $20,000.

Sunday, April 22

There was a two-vehicle accident with no injuries reported at 136 U.S. Highway 51 when a vehicle driven by John C. Kirby, 19, of Dowell, struck a vehicle driven by Myung Kim, 63, of Du Quoin, from behind. There was also a passenger in Kim's vehicle - Katie Kim, 21, of Du Quoin. None of the three were injured. Kirby was charged with negligent driving.

Friday, April 20

Ryan A. Birchler, 21, Sparta, charged with speeding and driving while license suspended at the intersection of Nashville and Aster Roads.

Wednesday, April 18

Sarah J. Sponce, 32, Pinckneyville, charged with speeding at the intersection of Illinois 127 and Pine Cone Road.

Monday, April 16

Coday A. Falaster, 21, Elkville, charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Sunday, April 15

Stephanie Lunneman, 18, Du Quoin, charged with having an inoperable tail light.
