DHS Principal Returning to Her Hometown

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Du Quoin Community Unit District 300 Superintendent Dr. Gary Kelly confirms that DHS principal Tammy Beckham will be leaving the district after only one year here. She has accepted an administrative position as grade school principal in her hometown of Woodlawn, where her family resides.

Mrs. Beckham filled the vacancy created by Principal Lybrand Beard asking to be transferred from administration to a teaching position at the elementary school last year.

The board meets Thursday and will consider the retirement of Laurel Ebersohl effective o May 17, 2012. At the same time the board will employ summer food service workers, a middle school yearbook sponsor and approve an administrative salary schedule comparable to the DEA contract provisions.
