Dian was blessed to have her former high school business teacher Dr. Steve Miller of Chester in attendance. She shared with us her thanks for the help received from Dr. Miller, as he took Dian and several other Red Bud students to Carbondale, where he helped them gain admittance to Southern Illinois University, register for classes and obtain housing. After she received her Bachelors Degree from SIU she worked 24 years in the field of business. Dian was then hired by Jim Heil as the special populations coordinator for the OKAW Vocational Region. She also worked as the Madison County Vocational System Director for two years before coming back to the area as Beck Director. Ms. Albert was given a plaque by Dr. Marc Kiehna, Regional Superintendent of Schools in honor of her 19 years in the field of education.
