Entertainment was provided by the first communion class of St. Mary's Church of Chester. The winners of the SWIC poetry contest from St. Mary's School entertained the ladies with their poems. Seven winners out of 300 contestants were from St. Mary's School. Beth Speer, Chester Grade School Art Teacher and owner of Please Don't Drink the Paint assisted the women with a seashell craft.
Bertha Mae Blechle, pictured right, was honored for her many years of service to the Knights of Columbus Hall, school and church. She was presented roses and a plaque by Grand Knight Tom Sauer. Also, the Knights of Columbus will be honoring her with a handmade cross to be placed in the gym.
