Coach Jason James had these comments about the tournament. "Rice and Kohrs were just outstanding all weekend long! You could not have asked for better outings than what they gave us."

"We played four very good teams, and played very well! We struggled hitting a little on Friday, and left a lot of people on base, but really bounced back and hit the ball very well on Saturday. Kohrs hit a big 2-run homer against Highland, and Rice had a big day against O'Fallon, hitting a 2-run homer."

"I am very proud of the girls, and how they represented us at this tourney against the bigger schools. Edwards didn't make the trip on Saturday due to the flu. Hill, Williams, and Toler really filled in nicely in her absence. Big showdown on Monday against Nashville."

Monday, DuQuoin travels to Nashville with the Conference on the line. Both teams have one loss in the conference race.

The JV Team will go Herrin on Wednesday, and Friday is a home game against Anna-Jonesboro. The game with A-J is a rainout that has been rescheduled.
