Chester Drops Conference Contest

The Chester Lady Yellow Jackets were defeated 14-1 in a Black Diamond Conference match-up with the Vienna Lady Eagles. Chester drop to 0-3 in the BDC and 2-9 overall.

Vienna did all their damage in the third and fourth innings building their lead against Lady Jacket starter Taylor Gross and reliever Lacey Reynolds, who came on in fourth inning, to finish the game.

Chester scored their lone run in the third inning. Mallory Westerman single and came around to score on a stolen base, a pass ball and a ground out. Gross had the only other hit for the Lady Jackets.

The softball nine play their next two games at the Cohen Complex against Carmi-White County (Apr.19) and Elverado (Apr.24).
