Yellow Jacket Boys rule at home; Lady Yellow Jackets finish Second

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Chester Yellow Jackets boys track team ruled over their second home meet while the Lady Jackets finished second on their side of the meet .

The boys scored 233 points to dominate the meet over Christopher (147), Red Bud (69), Waterloo Gibault (38), Vienna (18) and New Athens (12). Shawnee and Steeleville didn&#39;t score.

The girls(153) finished behind the Red Bud girls total of 173 points. Also participating in the meet were Christopher (105), Vienna (37), New Athens (24) and Waterloo (Gibault) (10). Shawnee and Steeleville didn&#39;t score.

Scoring for the Lady Jackets were;Chelsea Schroeder finished fourth in the discus (62' 1"), finished sixth in the 100 (:14.4) and finished fifth in the shot put (23' 5.5"). Alexandria Fedderke finished sixth in the discus (58' 4") and finished third in the 200 (:30.2). McKenzi Rucker finished second in the long jump (14' 9"). De'Na Nesbitt finished third in the long jump (14' 5") and won the pole vault (6' 0"). Rachel Clendenin tied for first place in the high jump (4' 2"), won the 300 hurdles (:53.5) and finished fourth in the 100 hurdle(:18.8). Maribeth Lawrence finished second in the triple jump (27' 9"). Jenna Wingerter finished third in the triple jump (27' 7") and finished sixth in the 200 (:31.2). Brandi Phelps finished second in the pole vault (5' 6"). Emily Reid finished third in the 3200 (14:03.2) and finished third in the 800 (2:49.5).

Sarah Bindel won the 100 hurdles (:16.7) and finished third in the 400 (1:06.2). Taylor Yankey finished second in the 800 (2:46.3) and finished fourth in the 1600 (6:47.8). Kaitlin Brunkhorst finished sixth in the 400 (1:15.7). Chester won the 800 relay ( Lawrence,Fedderke,Nesbitt,Hartmann), 1600 relay (Lawrence,Hartmann ,Nesbitt ,Bindel) and second in the 400 relay.

Scoring for the Jackets were; Brad Bindel won the discus (119' 5") and finished third in the shot put (37' 1"). Trent Eggemeyer finished fourth in the discus (100' 5"). Jacob Fogle finished second in the shot put (37' 1.5"). Kyle Landon won the long jump (20' 8"), the high jump (6' 9") and the triple jump (42' 5"). Issiac Wingerter tied for fourth in the high jump (5' 2"), finished second in the 200 (:24.9) and won the 300 hurdles (:47.5). Zach Sternberg won the pole vault (10' 6"), finished fourth in the 1600 (5:36(5:36.6) and finished fourth in the 3200 (12:10.2). David Luchman finished second in the pole vault. Caleb Golding finished second in the 110 hurdles (:21.0). Andrew Frazer won the 100 (:11.7) and won the 200 (:24.5). Nick Rinehart finished third in the 100 (:12.4). Devin Valleroy won the 800 (2:16.0) and finished second in the 300 hurdles (:48.7). William Stafford finished third in the 800 (2:22.1) and second in the 1600 (5:26.1). Verne White won the 400 (:54.0). Robin Bochert finished second in the 400 (1:00.3). In the relays, Chester finished second in the 3200 (9:39.8), won the 400 (:47.8), won the 800 (1:41.6) and won the 1600 (4:21.3).

The Chester Frosh-Soph Invitational will run on April 5 at 4:00pm . The Jim Binton Relays at Benton (girls only) is April 9 at 3:00pm. Old Settlement Invitational (Ste. Genevieve, MO) is at 4:00pm on April 11.
