Christ Our Savior hosts Lutheran Schools Rally as part of Service Learning Day
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[On Wednesday, March 21, the students and faculty of Christ Our Savior joined together with members from Peace Lutheran Church of Conway, Arkansas for a Service Learning Day on Christ Our Savior's campus, which was then followed by a Pre-K-12 Lutheran Schools Rally.
The day began with students and faculty working on various projects around the school's campus. These projects included cutting down tree branches, moving and burning brush, picking up trash, pulling weeds, mulching the gardens, painting, and cleaning out and creating storage space within the gymnasium and the school's annex. The group continued their hard work throughout the morning finally breaking for lunch shortly before the rally began.
Karl Lenser, a parent from Conway, AR, stated, "I am glad we came here to help with the school improvements; I enjoyed working with Christ Our Savior and am very fortunate to have been here. The one thing that I liked most about being here was to meet so many new people and to experience the Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School."
Visiting students from St. John's Lutheran School, Red Bud, Trinity Lutheran School, Prairie, and St. Mark's Lutheran School, Steeleville arrived to Christ Our Savior's campus to take part in the Lutheran Schools Rally. Students and faculty of Christ Our Savior also joined the rest of the visitors to watch as members of Peace Lutheran Church led the celebratory rally.
Sarah Johnson, a junior from Conway East High School Arkansas, stated, "I enjoyed performing the motions of the songs in front of all the younger students from all the grade schools."
The 2nd annual rally consisted of fun and energetic songs that encouraged singing and celebration for all those involved in Lutheran schools. The afternoon was full of singing, dancing and cheering as the schools continued to recognize all the amazing gifts and blessings the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has bestowed on the Lutheran community.
