No New Leads on 12th Anniversary of Baby Sarah Case at Pyramid Park
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[It was 12 years ago, April 2, 2000 when two young fishermen found a new born infant in a plastic bag located near a boat ramp at Spring Lake in Pyramid State Park, Pinckneyville, Ill.
The deceased infant named "Baby Sarah" by employees of the Perry County Sheriff's Office became the subject of a huge investigation and search for the parents of Baby Sarah.
Investigators with the Perry County Sheriff's Office have logged thousands of hours working the case to no avail.
"Baby Sarah" was buried at the Mueller Hill Cemetery near Pinckneyville and a Monument regarding "Baby Sarah" was erected at the Pinckneyville City Park.
Sheriff Keith Kellerman states the case is still open and "the incident remains in our thoughts as to the whereabouts of the parents."
Sheriff Kellerman further states, "We would like to just know the circumstances of what happened and why in order to put the case to rest and have some type of closure".
The Perry County Sheriff's Office still has a $5,000 reward for information regarding who the real parents of "Baby Sarah" are and what happened that day.
Baby Sarah was wrapped in baby blankets and a towel, then placed in a plastic 710 Bookstore bag.
