DONATE BLOOD AT SWIC RED BUD CAMPUS BLOOD DRIVE

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[If you're looking for a fast, easy way to give back to your community, look no further than the Southwestern IllinoisCollege Red Bud Campus, 500 W. South Fourth St. The campus will host a blood drive Tuesday, March 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Performing Arts Room.

You can be a hero to up to three individuals by donating a pint of your blood during theupcoming American Red Cross Blood Drive.

"This is a phenomenal way for students and residents of Randolph and Monroe counties to give back," notes Amy Brockman, student and community services coordinator. "The time you donate truly will make a difference in the community. We hope to see you!"

All types of blood are needed, especially O Positive. If you do not know your blood type, you can find out when you donate.

To become a donor, you must weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old. If you are 16 years old and wish to donate in Illinois, you need a permission formsigned by your parent or guardian. New donors should bring proper identification, such as a driver's license, to the blood drive.

Individuals are encouraged to set an appointment time, but walk-ins are welcome and will beaccommodated as quickly as possible.

All presenting donors will receive light refreshments and a place to rest briefly following their donation.
