Rebuilding at Chester
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Like their counterparts in the boys team, things will be a little different on the Chester Lady Jackets squad this season. New head coach Pat Knowles will have a fairly young , inexperienced roster to work with this season as Chester graduated seven seniors, including all five starters, from last year's squad.
The Lady Jackets will be led by a senior class of three members: Kellie Dillow, Megan Marcinkowska and Raelyn Rosendahl. Newcomer De'Na Nesbitt is part of a big junior class that also features Taylor LaRose, Chelsea Schroeder, Mara Laramore and Alison Easton. Sophomores that have already picked up some playing time early this season include Sara Bindel, Alexandria Fedderke and Maribeth Lawrence.
After opening the season at the Dupo Tournament, Chester settles into a regular season schedule that features the school's second trip through the Black Diamond Conference. Early games against conference rivals like Goreville and Zeigler-Royalton could prove to be key to this year's squad's success. The annual Lady Jacket Mid-Winter Classic in early January is also a highlight of the schedule.
