Tamaroa Beer Party Under Investigation

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Perry County Sheriff's Department says it may be another 24 to 48 hours before it can release details of one or more arrests during a call to a beer party in southeast Tamaroa Saturday night. At least one participant is said to have been taken to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center. Some of the underage drinkers attend Pinckneyville Community High School, which is involved in the investigation.

Longtime law enforcement officer Mike Plumlee confirmed the incident happened. He added that rumors on the social networking site Facebook are exaggerated, but did say there is an accountability issue his department is focusing on and more charges will be filed.
