This year the goal is $20,000. Proceeds will be used to purchase geri-chairs and patient-controlled analgesia pumps. Hospital CEO Bill Huff said that over the past 16 years, the Tree of Life campaign has raised approximately $280,000. The Auxiliary has paid for many improvements to the hospital, including a new chapel last year. Letters from Macaluso and co-chair Shirley Holmes seeking donations will be arriving in the mail this week. With each $25 donation, a light is lit on the tree. A list of donations is published weekly in the Du Quoin Evening Call. Donations are tax deductible.
