Gilster employees improving after explosion

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Two employees were injured today at Gilster-Mary Lee's Pasta Plant in Steeleville, IL. The employees were performing maintenance to equipment in the facility when an explosion occurred between 1 and 1:30 PM. The employees suffered serious burns and have been transferred to St. Johns Hospital in St. Louis for treatment. Company officials are assessing damage to the facility and equipment in the affected area, and partial operations will resume later today.

As of Friday October 14, Tom?Welge noted "We continue to investigate the cause and are working with OSHA in the review. Two employees are improving, but still in the hospital as of today. "
