Chester board of education meet
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Board of Education of Chester Community Unit School District No. 139 met in the Chester School District Unit Office on September 15, 2011. President Beers called the Regular Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Zach Murdach presented the Board information on Student Council and student activities.
The Board approved the minutes for the Regular Meeting and Executive Session of August 15, 2011.
The Board approved the minutes for the Special Meeting of August 31, 2011.
Rich Clasen updated the Board on the Technology Department.
Scott Bert updated the Board on the Maintenance Department.
Mr. Lochhead, Grade School Principal, reported to the Board of Education:
September 13th was the PTS Open House (Picnic).
Bus Evacuation Drill was September 14th.
Mr. Keefe, High School Principal, reported to the Board of Education:
Volley for the Cure Week.
High School Testing and Scores.
Mr. Diddlebock, District Superintendent, reported to the Board of Education:
IASB Board Member Training.
Mr. Diddlebock discussed the audits with the Board.
The Board approved the district bills in the amount of $255,308.29 and district payroll in the amount of $618,621.14 as presented.
The Board approved Dale Rucker as Grade School Cross-Country Volunteer.
The Board approved Tyler Search as High School Boys Basketball Volunteer.
The Board approved the Recognition of Schools.
The Board approved the Hazardous Transportation Resolution for the 2011-2012.
The Board accepted the resignation of Jennifer Wilson as Grade School Assistant Softball Coach.
The Board approved Steven Spears as High School Boys JV Basketball Coach.
The Board approved Mike Schwarting as High School Freshmen Boys Basketball Coach.
The Board entered into executive session at 8:40 p.m. to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body.
The Board returned to open session at 9:25 p.m.
The Board accepted the resignation of Paula Ray as High School Musical Director.
The Board adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
