BASEBALL: Coulterville knocks out Falcons
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[St. Bruno Tamaroa rallied back from an 8-1 deficit on Tuesday, but couldn't close the deal as Coulterville knocked the Falcons out of the postseason with a 13-8 decision.
Trailing 8-1 in the fifth, the Falcons sent 12 batters to the plate and scored seven times to knot the game up. Tyler Rulevish had a big hit in the inning with an RBI double.
Walks and some costly mistakes led to runs for Coutlerville in each of the final two innings, however, as the Regional host moved on to the championship later this week.
SB-T leadoff hitter Kyle Luke had the best offensive day, going 3-for-5 at the plate with a run scored. Rulevish (2-5, R, 2B), Evan Williams (1-3, R), Bradley Kurtz (1-3, R), Ike Hardin (1-3) and Daniel Huggins (1-3, R) also hit safely for St. Bruno-Tamaroa. Rulevish and Williams shared the pitching duties.
The Falcons finish their 2011 campaign with a record of 8-11.
