VOLLEYBALL: EHS, PCHS beaten on Thursday
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Lady Falcons fought back from an early hole, but couldn't handle Eldorado last night, losing 25-22, 25-17 in their third home game of the week.
Erika Will led the team in kills once again, finishing with 10. Will also head a team high in blocks with 3, and 5 digs.
"We did so much better tonight covering our holes when they tip the ball over the net," said Elverado head volleyball coach Donette Wheatley. "We still struggle once we gain momentum, we make a silly mistake and give it right back to them. We've got to keep that momentum to get over that hill."
Meghann Trammell led the Lady Falcons in digs with 6, Will, Jenny Sarenen and Rebecca Korando each had 5. Erica Berner led in assists with 8, Kaylee Gresham chipped in with 5.
The Lady Eagles also took the J-V game by the score of 25-19, 25-13.
"These girls have got to learn to move their feet," Wheatley said of the J-V Falcons.
Elverado (1-8, 1-5) heads to Crab Orchard this Saturday for a round-robin tournament.

Anna-Jonesboro topped Pinckneyville in straight sets, 25-20, 25-16 in Anna on Thursday.
Morgan Wild led the Lady Panthers with 4 kills, Shannon Nehrkorn had 2 blocks and Alexis Bigham recorded 3 service aces.
PCHS is at Herrin on Monday night.
