Perry County Health Department Closes Du Quoin Office

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Perry County Health Department has announced that it will no longer be able to provide services at the Du Quoin location at 109 S. Division Street.

"The Department greatly appreciates the accommodations provided by the Housing Authority," PCHD said in a written statement. "However,the decision was approved by the Perry County Board of Health due to funding, staffing and other constraints."

The Health Department plans to continue its presence in Du Quoin as much as possible to serve the eastern side of the county. A flu clinic will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Perry County Counseling Center at 1016 S. Madison St. in Du Quoin.

Perry County Health Department will announce other outreach locations and services as they are scheduled.
