Du Quoin Evening Call Ad Staff Changes

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Du Quoin Evening Call today announced the appointment of Melissa Lazenby (seated) as the newspaper's advertising manager and marketing director. Melissa has been a member of the newspaper's marketing staff for eight years and has 10 years of experience in the newspaper industry.

She fills the vacancy created by the recent marriage of longtime marketing director Terri (Fisher) Thomas (standing). Terri and husband Eric now reside in Aviston, Ill. northwest of Nashville, Ill. and she has taken a sales position with the Edwardsville newspaper.

Joining the newspaper's marketing staff is Craig Smith (standing) son of longtime Du Quoin broadcaster and accountant Randy Smith and wife Kathy. Craig is a 2003 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a background in economics and political science. He has seven years of experience in the service industry and three years in corporate accounting.

Lazenby and Smith share a strong commitment to community and customer service. They have already become a strong team and are working to build a strong digital presence alongside the newspaper's popular print offerings.

The Du Quoin Evening Call is Perry County's only daily newspaper with an online presence through its Web site duquoin.com and Facebook.
