What's Up at St. Mark's?

Another change at St. Mark's this year is the kitchen staff, since Mrs. Carol Smith retired last spring. Mrs. Darla Gordon, who had been assisting Mrs. Smith, is the new head cook, with Mrs. Amie Bockhorn assisting her.
Mrs. Gordon is the wife of Steve Gordon. They have three children, Andrew who is a high school freshman, Madalynn who is a 7th grader and Chloe who is in 5th grade. Mrs. Bockhorn is married to Chris Bockhorn and has three daughters, Kadence who is 7 and in 2nd grade, and 5 year old twins Peyton and Aubrianna who are in kindergarten. Both families are members of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Darla is happy to be working where she can see her children besides having the chance to get to know the other students at St. Mark's. She is enthused about continuing St. Mark's strong tradition of good lunch food and being able to listen to the kids get excited about their favorite meals. Amie is also happy to see her children each day and loves it when the kids enjoy the meals and get excited about what they are eating.
When asked about favorite things to do away from work, Amie said that she enjoys camping and would love to travel and see the world. Darla loves spending time with her family, whether they are bowling, fishing, sitting by a fire or watching a movie, as long as they are together. She would like to visit Germany and Ireland, the countries that her grandparents came from. She has seen pictures her dad took when he was in the army and stationed in Germany and would enjoy seeing the real places.
Welcome to St. Mark's staff, ladies! We're glad to have you along on our journey of faith this year.
