Recycling Blankets Into Tug Toys to Benefit Humane Society

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Manor at Mason Woods residents have taken on a community project to make pet tug toys as a fundraiser for the Perry County Humane Society, Du Quoin. The Caring & Sharing Thrift Shop donates their excess blankets to the Humane Society for dog bedding.

Recently, the donated fleece blankets are being recycled into pet tug toys to benefit the homeless dogs and cats of Perry County.

If you have any unused fleece blankets or fleece material that could be recycled into toys, please donate to the Thrift Shop located on South Main Street in Pinckneyville. The pet tug toys are available in Pinckneyville at Kellerman's Feed Store, Lodge of the 4 Paws, Happy Tails Grooming, and in Du Quoin at Perry County Humane Society, St. Francis Animal Hospital, and Du Quoin Animal Clinic for a $2 donation.
