Jack Greer and his wife Cynthia Cook are the owners of Wildflower & Thyme Soap Company based out of Waterloo, IL. Greer is a former editor of The Randolph County Herald Tribune.
"The old saying is, 'the more ingredients - the worse it is for you," Greer says. Greer states by staying true to all natural, he eliminates all of the processed ingredients.
Making homemade soap is a lengthy process, but leaves time to get it just right. Greer says it takes around two hours to make, then the mixture sets over night and molds. It is then broken down and sliced into individual, hand cut bars. "You're looking at, at least two weeks to wait for it to cure and dry," Greer says.
