Egyptian Annual Membership Meeting July 21st
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The 73rd annual membership meeting of Egyptian Electric Cooperative will be held at the American Legion meeting hall in Steeleville on Thursday evening, July 21, 2011. Member registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the business session will begin at 7:30 p.m. A short business session in the air-conditioned hall is being planned to conduct the necessary business affairs of the cooperative. The membership will elect three directors for three-year terms. A nomination committee of members met on May 10, 2011, and nominated Larry Ebers, Steeleville, Gilbert Kroening, Carbondale, and Raymond Mulholland, Marissa, as candidates for director.
The membership may make additional nominations from the floor, if they so choose.
Ever member registering will receive a gift plus a $10 credit on the next electric bill. After the business session, registered members will be eligible to win $300 cash or two grand prizes of $100 credits on an electric bill. A highlight feature at this year's meeting will be a random drawing for a $1000 scholarship.
Hot dogs, soda and ice cream bars will be served in the park beginning at 5 p .m. Outdoor seating is limited, so bring lawn chairs.
The Pickin' Chicks will take the stage at about 5:45 p.m. in the American Legion's large hall and will continue until shortly before the meeting. There will be a children's program in the small hall while the business meeting is going on. Check your July Illinois Country Living Magazine for details.
The Board of Directors and management of Egyptian Electric Cooperative wish to extend an investigation to all members to take part in the affairs of their cooperative. Be sure to remind your neighbors. See you on Thursday, July 21st.
