Traffic Accident reported

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[On June 15, 2011 at approximately 5:00pm, Chester Police were called to the scene of a traffic accident on Route 3, near Lochhead Drive in Chester.

Police are reporting that 62-year-old Paul Cabiness has suffered multiple injuries after crashing his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle into a 2009 Chevrolet pick-up truck, driven by 52-year-old Joel Tindall of Chester.

Police say Cabiness was traveling northbound on Route 3, when Tindall attempted to turn left into Lochead's Service Station. In doing so, Tindall crossed over into the northbound lane, directly into Cabiness' path, causing the collision.

Cabiness was transported to Memorial Hospital, where he was later transferred to a St. Louis area hospital. Tindall, who was uninjured, was cited for Failure to Yield.
