DuQuoin scored one in the first inning to take the lead, and another one in the third. They added four runs in the fourth inning, one in the fifth inning, and finished up with three in the seventh.

Trent Bigham was the winning pitcher for DuQuoin. He pitched all seven innings allowing no runs, on three hits, had 4 walks, and 9 strikeouts. Coach Tim Craft thought "Trent was fantastic today. He kept Murphysboro off balance during the entire game.:

J.C. Davis had a super game at the plate. He was 3-3 with a double, a triple, and a home run. He missed hitting for the cycle by one at bat. In his last at bat, he walked. Davis had 2 RBI as well. Coach Craft commented, "we did a good job defensively, and took advantage of runners in scoring position later in the game. It was a good game for us."

DuQuoin has a full schedule this week. Tuesday is a home game with Anna-Jonesboro. Wednesday DuQuoin travels to Sparta. Thursday is a trip to Vienna, and Friday DuQuoin travels to Anna-Jonesboro.
